RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE

These devices are specially designed to be used in the absence of humans. Direct contact with UV-C ultraviolet light without special protective measures (goggles, gloves) is contraindicated, according to the operating instructions.

SPECIFICATIONS

The Steril-Aire solution is specially designed for small vaporizers up to 38 cm H x 66 cm L. The transmitters will be installed perpendicular to the cooling unit, producing high power UV-C energy to remove biofilm and reduce or remove microbial contaminants from the air. The small-sized power supply provides installation flexibility close to the front of the evaporator for continuous cleaning of the cooling coil and optimum air quality.
The components can be selected according to the voltage, the length of the UV-C transmitter and the mounting option. The UV-C kit offers installation flexibility with two voltage options and six mounting options. Voltage options include 120 V or 230 V.
Mounting options include: Short hooks (2), Spring clamp set, Flat lamp holder (for metal case), Flat lamp holder (for plastic case), Insert lamp holder, 41 cm U-holder. The UV-C kit for unitary air conditioners is available in five transmitter lengths: 19 cm, 25 cm, 41 cm, 51 cm and 61 cm.

The Sterile-Air unitary kit for small air treatment units contains a multi-patented UVC ™ Transmitter that offers the most economical and durable UV-C performance on the market. The Steril-Aire unitary solution was tested, offering, on average, a 2.5 times higher efficiency than other ultraviolet devices in HVAC operating conditions (temperature 10ºC at an air speed of 2m/s).
The UV-C lamps produced by competitors must be changed every 3-4 months to remain effective, because their initial capacity is so low that they quickly lose their intensity, i.e. the “destructive power” needed to control the development of biofilm. The Steril-Aire UV-C transmitter, on the other hand, has a 12-month life cycle. Even after a year of continuous operation, Steril-Aire UVC performs better than competing devices on day one! Thus, only Steril-Aire can provide the germicidal yield you need.

The unitary kit for small air treatment units is factory assembled and tested. The kit will consist of a power supply and a mounting solution. The single-ended transmitter must be ordered separately.

The power supply is a 25 W unit with a transmitter connector. It must be supplied with 120 V or 230 V single-phase current (+/- 10%), 50 H. RF and EMI suppression will be provided. The length of the power supply input cable will be 3 m. The length of the cable connecting the transmitter to the power supply will be 4.5 m.

The socket will be of the Circline® type with 4 pins, to facilitate the connection to the Transmitter, to facilitate the installation and the service works.

The transmitter will be high capacity, hot cathode type, T5 diameter, Circline base, which generates a germicidal UV-C band of 253.7 nm. The single-ended supply UV-C transmitter must be designed to maximize photon production, irradiation, and reliability in cold airflows between 2 - 60 ºC, 99% RH, and
up to 10 m/s. It will not produce ozone or other secondary contaminants. Optional 28 cm and 81 cm length transmitter extension cables (with connectors) available.

Mounting options: Steril-Aire offers a variety of mounting options for UV-C transmitters. The unitary kit for smaller air conditioners includes one of the following mounting options: Short hooks, spring clamps, flat lamp holder (for metal), flat lamp holder (for plastic), insert lamp holder, U-holder - each packed with mounting screws (as needed) to facilitate installation in most major brands. The power supply must comply with ANSI / UL 153, 1598 and 1995 standards and CSA standards. The manufacturer will be an ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2015 certified production unit.
